Privacy, the short version
Your files never leave your Mac — the apps do their work entirely on-device. What little we hold is listed below.
Who is responsible
Rude Dog, a sole trader business in the United Kingdom, is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: support@rudedog.dev — we'll provide the controller's full registered details on request.
What stays on your Mac
Everything you put into the apps — images, audio, video, transcripts, boards. Processing happens locally; nothing you open or create is uploaded, and we have no way to see it. The apps don't include analytics or tracking.
What we actually hold
Your email address, if you create an account — used to sign you in (one-time codes) and to attach your purchases so they unlock across your Macs. If you tick the marketing box we may send occasional product emails; unsubscribe any time. Authentication and our records are hosted by Supabase, acting as our processor.
Purchase records are created by Stripe, our merchant of record, when you buy. Stripe is an independent controller of your checkout data (name, email, payment details, billing country) under its own privacy policy — we receive the email address and what was bought, never your payment details.
Support email — if you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as it's needed to help you.
What we don't do
No advertising, no selling or sharing of personal data, no profiling, no tracking pixels. This website sets no analytics cookies; Stripe's checkout page, when opened, operates under Stripe's own policy.
How long we keep things
Account and purchase records are kept while your licence is active — which, for perpetual licences, means until you ask us to delete them. Statutory records (e.g. tax) are kept as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion, or restriction, and you can object to marketing at any time. Email support@rudedog.dev and we'll act on it. Deleting your account removes your sign-in and entitlement records — and with them the ability to re-download purchases, so we'll confirm before proceeding. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the update appears here with the change noted.
